Cranial Therapy

From the moment of conception, our bodies have to adapt to constant changes in our environment. Depending on the experiences we have and how we interpret and react to these experiences, we take on patterns and are shaped and conditioned by them. If the stresses or traumas are overwhelming, they become locked into the body as sites of inertia. These patterns are held until such a time as we are able to access resources that allow them to be processed and released.

These traumas include:

Birth trauma

Physical injuries

Emotional and psychological stresses

Toxicity

How can cranial therapy help?

Cranial therapy is a gentle, non-intrusive hands on method of identifying and releasing where these stresses are held, while at the same time evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the physiological body system called the craniosacral system, that is comprised of: cerebrospinal fluid and the membranes that surround and protect the spinal cord and brain.

Cranial therapy complements the body's natural healing processes, improving resistance to disease and can be effective for the following issues:

  • chronic neck and back pain
  • headaches
  • chronic fatigue
  • stress-related problems
  • connective tissue disorders
  • emotional difficulties
  • infantile disorders
  • colic
  • Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • immune imbalances
  • temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ)
  • impingement of cranial and spinal nerves
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • muscle imbalances
